First Shadow Cabinet of Harold Wilson (UK) served as the Official Opposition from 14 February 1963 to 16 October 1964. It was formed after the death of Hugh Gaitskell on 18 January 1963. Labour Party leader Harold Wilson led the group, with George Brown as deputy. It sat in the 42nd UK Parliament, following the 1959 general election and the 1963 Labour leadership election. The cabinet ended after the 1964 general election, when the Douglas-Home shadow cabinet took over.
