First Gotabaya Rajapaksa cabinet

Sri Lanka’s central government led by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Formed on 21 November 2019 after his election win and dissolved on 12 August 2020 following the 2020 parliamentary election. The cabinet had 56 members from the Sri Lanka People’s Freedom Alliance. Gotabaya Rajapaksa was both head of state and head of government, with Mahinda Rajapaksa as deputy head of government. It sat in the minority in Parliament, with the main opposition party being the United National Party led by Sajith Premadasa. Ministers were appointed under the Constitution; one minister died in office. Preceded by Sirisena IV and followed by Gotabaya Rajapaksa II.
