Fascination!
Fascination! is an EP by the English synth‑pop band The Human League, released in May 1983. It was a short release between their albums Dare (1981) and Hysteria (1984) and came out in the US and Canada (as a regular release) with Europe treating it as an import.
The original vinyl runs 26:42 and features six tracks, including two versions of the hit single "(Keep Feeling) Fascination" and the song "Mirror Man." It also includes "Hard Times" (the B‑side of "Love Action") and an early version of "I Love You Too Much," which would later appear on Hysteria. A 2008 digital edition added a bonus dub version of "I Love You Too Much." The US and European releases were issued by Virgin, with A&M in the US; the EP was produced by Martin Rushent.
Two of the tracks, "Mirror Man" and "(Keep Feeling) Fascination," were hits on the UK charts and the US Billboard Hot 100. The 2012 “deluxe edition” of Dare added a CD with extra tracks related to Fascination!, though it omitted "Hard Times." A 2015 Japan release mirrored the Dare deluxe edition’s track list.
Reception at the time noted that Fascination! offered little new material and was mainly a dance-focused collection, highlighting The Human League’s polished synth sound rather than new songwriting.
