Eucinostomus havana
Bigeye mojarra (Eucinostomus havana) is a small ray-finned fish found from South Florida and the Caribbean west to the Gulf of Mexico, and along the eastern coast of Brazil. It lives in brackish, shallow waters near mangroves, usually less than 10 meters deep. It feeds on invertebrates on sandy, vegetated bottoms. Mojarra are not highly valued for food, but they can be used to make fishmeal. Its conservation status is Least Concern.
