Epichorista crypsidora is a small moth in the Tortricidae family that lives in New Zealand. It was first described by Edward Meyrick in 1909 from a specimen collected in Invercargill. The species is endemic to New Zealand and has been found on both the North and South Islands. It inhabits open glades in native forest or scrub. Adults fly during the day in bright sunshine from November to January. Over the years it has had several names, including Dipterina crypsidora and Epichorista carcharodes, and it is currently treated as Epichorista (s.l.) crypsidora because its exact genus placement is unresolved. The male holotype is held at the Natural History Museum in London. Meyrick described the male as about 12 mm long with brown and dark markings. The larvae feed on nettles (Urtica species), such as Urtica ferox, Urtica aspera, Urtica linearifolia, and Urtica sykesii.
