Ellie Dixon, born Eleanor Charlotte Siobhan Dixon, is an English musician from Foxton, Cambridgeshire. Her dad played piano and her mum played tin whistle. She started making music at 13 after her father downloaded music software, and she taught herself guitar while continuing to sing at school events.

She studied mathematics at the University of Warwick and released three EPs during her time there. After graduating, she gigged for about six months before the COVID-19 lockdown stopped live music. During lockdown, she began posting music videos online, showing how she builds harmonies and writes new verses. Her online work drew attention, and in 2021 she released Crikey! It’s My Psyche. She signed with Decca Records in 2022.

Dixon’s 2023 football chant “Jota on the Wing,” set to the tune of Dragostea Din Tei, went viral and she performed it for fans at Celtic Park. She released more singles that year and joined Loud LDN, a collective of women and non-binary artists in London. She’s known for using unusual sounds in her music, like mugs, pens and saucepans, and even a ruler for bass lines. Her videos often feature quirky visuals and space-themed ideas.

In 2024 she released Renaissance after being dropped by Decca. She continued releasing new music in 2025, including Guts, a remix with Piri, Knight Shift, and the EP Tales of a Knight. Dixon describes her music as alt-pop and indie pop, and she continues to explore unconventional instruments and inventive visuals as part of her creative style.
