Sekisui Chemical
Sekisui Chemical Company, Limited is a Japanese plastics and chemicals maker with headquarters in Osaka and Tokyo. Founded in 1947, the company runs many subsidiaries around the world and operates in more than 18 countries. It is a public company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TYO: 4204) and has about 27,000 employees.
Sekisui works in a wide range of areas, including chemicals, medical products, plastics, and other related fields. Keita Kato serves as the CEO and President.
In October 2020, a 45-year-old researcher was accused of corporate espionage against Sekisui on behalf of the Guangdong-based Chaozhou Three-Circle.
Sekisui is recognized for its environmental efforts and was named the 12th most sustainable company in the world in 2020 by Corporate Knights.
