Education in Neyyattinkara
Education in Neyyattinkara includes several secondary and higher secondary schools, plus polytechnics and engineering colleges in the area. A well-known private ICSE school on Convent Road is St. Teresa Of Avila ICSE School. It is affiliated with CISCE (Code KE148), and was established in July 1928. It serves Kindergarten to Grade 10, with about 1,500 to 1,700 students and around 121 teachers on a 6-acre campus. The school is privately owned, and its motto is Let Your Light Shine. The principal is Sr. Shyla Abel, and the mascot is a Lotus with a Lamp.
Neyyattinkara also has many other secondary and higher secondary institutions, as well as polytechnics and engineering colleges nearby. The Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) in the town is one of the oldest in Kerala, founded in the 1890s, and has produced many successful people.
