Edsel K. Schweizer (February 5, 1923 – February 22, 2003) was an American football coach and college athletics administrator. He spent most of his career at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where he was the head football coach from 1952 to 1977, finishing with a record of 150–70–6.

Schweizer first joined Luther in 1950 as backfield coach for football, an assistant basketball coach, track coach, dean of students, and an instructor in the education department. After a brief recall to active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps in 1951, he returned in 1952 as head football and track coach, assistant basketball coach, and psychology professor. He served as Luther’s athletic director from 1966 to 1984.

His teams won six Iowa Conference championships (1954, 1957, 1960, 1963, 1970–1971), and he earned Iowa Conference Coach of the Year honors twice (1970–1971). Schweizer played college football at Iowa (1941–1942) and college basketball at Purdue (1943–1944). He died of cancer in Decorah, Iowa, on February 22, 2003.
