Lowell Jack
Lowell Edward Jack (August 14, 1925 – August 29, 2010) was a longtime resident and historian of Manhattan, Kansas. He served as general manager of KMAN (1350 AM) from 1954 until his retirement in 1989. Jack also held local government roles, including city commissioner, mayor, and president of Manhattan’s chamber of commerce. He published six historical calendars about Manhattan and two books about the city and its people. He helped provide a temporary studio for KSDB after a fire at Nichols Gym.
