Drynaria bonii
Drynaria bonii is a subtropical fern from Southeast Asia. It grows as an epiphyte (on other plants) or lithophyte (on rocks). Its rhizome is covered with dry, papery fronds, while the larger fronds are fertile and bear spores. It belongs to the Polypodiaceae family. In Vietnam, it has long been used in traditional medicine to treat various ailments. Scientific studies have shown that compounds from Drynaria bonii have antibacterial and antioxidant properties.
