Douglas Barr
Douglas Barr (born May 1, 1949) is an American actor, writer, and director. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is also known as Doug Barr. His big break came as Howie Munson on the ABC series The Fall Guy, which ran from 1981 to 1986. He then appeared on shows like Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, Hotel, and Murder, She Wrote, and he starred as Alex Jagger in The Wizard (1986–1987). Barr played Bill Stillfield on Designing Women from 1988 to 1991.
His first feature film was Deadly Blessing (1981), and he also appeared in The Unseen. His last film role was Temptation (1994). He has directed many TV movies. In 1998, Barr started Hollywood and Vine Cellars, a wine business in Napa Valley. He married Clare Ann Kirkconnell in June 1984.
