Joseph Mittathany (12 July 1931 – 11 July 2022) was an Indian Roman Catholic church leader. He was born in Kalikavu, Madras Presidency, British India, and was ordained a priest on 23 April 1959. He was consecrated as a bishop on 27 September 1969 by Stephen Ferrando.

Mittathany served as Bishop of Tezpur from 1969 to 1980. In 1980 he became Bishop of Imphal, and when Imphal became an archdiocese in 1995, he was named Archbishop of Imphal, serving until his retirement in 2006. His successor as Archbishop of Imphal was Dominic Lumon.

He died on 11 July 2022 in Koirengei, Manipur, India, at the age of 90.
