Dimitri Komarov (Ukrainian: Дмитро Комаров, Dmytro Komarov) was born on 1 December 1968 in Kyiv, then part of the Ukrainian SSR in the Soviet Union. He is a Ukrainian chess grandmaster. He won the Ukrainian Chess Championship in 1983, tying for first with Valeriy Neverov. He earned the International Master title in 1990 and the Grandmaster title in 1994. Komarov won the Reggio Emilia chess tournament in 1997–98. His peak rating was 2615 in January 1997, and his peak world ranking was No. 45 in January 1997. As of June 2020, he was the No. 46 ranked Ukrainian player. He coached Indian grandmaster Nihal Sarin from 2013 to 2019.
