Diane (Hüsker Dü song)
Diane is a punk rock song by the American band Hüsker Dü, from their 1983 EP Metal Circus. The track runs about 4 minutes and 42 seconds and was written by drummer Grant Hart. Its lyrics describe the 1980 murder of Diane Edwards, a waitress from West St. Paul, by Joseph Ture Jr. The song was performed live as early as 1981, with a live recording from August 1981 later released on the Savage Young Dü compilation.
