Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability
Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) is a United States Space Force project, with Australia and the United Kingdom, and Northrop Grumman as the main contractor. DARC aims to improve detection and tracking of satellites, space debris, and other objects in geosynchronous orbit. The ground-based system will be built in phases and is planned to be fully operational by 2027, starting with three radars and eventually using 27 parabolic antennas working together to form a large detection array, providing greater capabilities than current deep-space detection systems.
