DeeRonn Booker
DeeRonn Booker is an American professional ten-pin bowler. He was born in late 1990 or early 1991 in Pomona, California, and now lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he works as the pro shop manager at Starlight Bowling Center inside the Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel.
Booker began competing on the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour in 2018. From 2018 through 2023, he cashed in 13 of 36 PBA events. He won the doubles Eagle at the 2023 USBC Open Championships and led the first round of the 2023 Team USA Trials.
On March 31, 2024, in his second year as a full-time pro and during his PBA Tour television debut, Booker won the USBC Masters in Las Vegas. This major title made him the third Black bowler to win a PBA Tour major, joining George Branham III and Gary Faulkner Jr. He qualified 58th out of 465 players, then won six straight three-game total pinfall matches to earn the No. 1 seed for the stepladder final and won the championship, earning $100,000.
Booker appeared on The Price Is Right in 2009, winning the showcase. On TV, his strike song for the Masters broadcast was the Price Is Right theme song. He has said he wants people to see him as a person first, not just as a Black bowler, and hopes his success inspires others in bowling and in life.
