David Charles Wotton AM (born 14 August 1942) is a former Australian politician. A member of the Liberal Party, he served in the South Australian House of Assembly from 1975 to 2002, representing the electorates of Murray and Heysen. He was involved in one of the closest wins against the Democrats in South Australian history, with a 1.9% two-candidate preferred margin in the 1997 election, aside from the Mitcham by-election in 1982. In 2012 he was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his service to the Parliament and the community of South Australia through contributions to environmental management, family and community services, and ageing.
