Cyril Mowbray Wells (21 March 1871 – 22 August 1963) was an English cricketer, rugby player and schoolmaster. Born in St Pancras, London, he studied at Dulwich College and Trinity College, Cambridge. In cricket, he played first-class matches for Cambridge University, Surrey and Middlesex, appearing in 143 games and scoring 4,229 runs with a batting average of 22.02; his top score was 244. He also took 465 wickets with a bowling average of 19.86, with best figures of 8/35, and he held 122 catches. In rugby, he played for Cambridge University in the Varsity matches in 1891 and 1892, and earned six caps for England from 1893 to 1897; he also played for Harlequins and for Middlesex at county level. Later, he was a housemaster and cricket coach at Eton College and became the first Honorary Member of the Eton Ramblers Cricket Club.
