Crumomyia is a genus of small flies in the family Sphaeroceridae. They are insects in the order Diptera (the true flies). Crumomyia belongs to the subfamily Copromyzinae. The genus was named by Macquart in 1835. The type species is Borborus glacialis, described by Meigen in 1830. Over time, Crumomyia has been given several different names, including Apterina, Eriosoma, Fungobia, Saprobius, Speomyia, Stratioborborus, and Paraspeomyia. Crumomyia is part of the superfamily Sphaeroceroidea, a group of muscomorph flies.
