History
- Before 1963, the Eagleville–Storrs segment (South Eagleville Road) was an unsigned state road (SR 575), and the Coventry segment (Stone House Road) was town-maintained and unnumbered.
- The state took over maintenance of Stone House Road in 1962 as part of Route Reclassification; Route 275 was designated in early 1963 from the former SR 575.
- A realignment near the Coventry–Mansfield town line occurred at an unconfirmed date after 1967.
- The entire route lies within Tolland County.
