Colotis celimene, commonly known as the lilac tip or magenta tip, is a butterfly in the Pieridae family. It was first described by Hippolyte Lucas in 1852 and lives in the Afrotropical region. The wingspan is about 37–40 mm. Adults fly year-round, with a peak from March to May, and they are often seen near tall trees and thorny vegetation, hovering up to about 4 meters above the ground. The larvae feed on Boscia albitrunca and various Capparis species. Several subspecies are recognized.
