Cold Steel... for an Iron Age
Cold Steel... for an Iron Age is the third studio album by Australian extreme metal band Deströyer 666. It was released in June 2002 and recorded January 6 to February 6, 2002 at Sound Suite Studio. The album is blackened thrash metal and was released by Season of Mist. In the band’s discography, it follows Phoenix Rising (2000) and precedes Defiance (2009). The cover art was never approved by the band; Season of Mist thought the original artwork looked too power metal, so a new cover was rushed. In 2018, Loudwire named Cold Steel... for an Iron Age the best blackened thrash metal album in its list of the best metal albums from 40 subgenres.
