Christabel Baxendale

Florence Christabel Baxendale (28 December 1886 – 1977) was an English violinist and composer with notable talent. Born in Limerick, Ireland, she performed in the London area in the early 1900s and at least until 1921. She often appeared with her elder sister Kathleen Baxendale, a soprano singer. By 1939, she was working as a music teacher in Uckfield, Sussex. Baxendale died in 1977 in Bournemouth, England, aged about 90 or 91. She mainly wrote popular songs.
