Chillwa Quta
Chillwa Quta, also spelled Chillhua Kkota, is a high-altitude lake in the Kimsa Cruz mountains of the Bolivian Andes. It lies in La Paz Department, Loayza Province, Cairoma Municipality, at about 4,300 meters above sea level. The lake sits southwest of the peak Mama Uqllu, south of Warus Quta, and southeast of Taruja Umaña. The Taruja Umaña river begins here and flows west, then northwest, into the La Paz River. The name comes from Aymara: ch'illiwa (or chillwa) meaning a grass species (Festuca dolichophylla), and quta meaning lake.
