Chetwai Lighthouse is in Chettuva, near Guruvayur in the Thrissur District of Kerala, India. It began operation on 29 September 1986. The tower is a 30‑metre tall concrete cylinder with two balconies and a lantern, painted in white and red horizontal bands. The light sits about 33.8 metres above the ground and is powered by a 500‑watt halogen lamp. It can be seen from up to 19 nautical miles (about 35 kilometres). Its light pattern is two white flashes every 20 seconds. The light source was replaced on 30 April 2003. Before 1986 there was no lighthouse at this location.
