Chester Coco
Chester John Coco (February 15, 1915 – October 1, 2001) was an American lawyer, businessman, and politician from Louisiana. Born in Alexandria, he grew up in Marksville and studied law at Louisiana State University Law Center, earning a JD and passing the bar in 1937. Coco served as a Democratic member of the Louisiana State Senate from 1944 to 1952. In 1952 he campaigned to become Louisiana Attorney General. He co-founded the Avoyelles Broadcasting Company to serve Avoyelles Parish. He died on October 1, 2001, in a nursing home in Mansura, Louisiana.
