Chelsea Weston
Chelsea Elisabeth Weston (born 27 January 1990 in Worcester, England) is an English football defender who plays for Pink Bari in Italy’s Serie A. She has represented England at youth levels up to Under-23.
Weston grew up in Warndon and started playing with a local boys’ team, the Droitwich Kestrels, before being spotted by Birmingham City Ladies. She worked her way from the junior side to the first team.
Her club career also included Birmingham City, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Notts County, London Bees and Coventry United, before she moved to Pink Bari in 2020.
Internationally, Weston has played for England at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-20 levels. She played in the 2008 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile and was part of the England Under-19 team that won the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship in 2009, scoring in the group stage against Sweden. UEFA named her as an emerging talent after the tournament.
Education: Weston attended Elgar Technology College and Worcester Sixth Form College, and studied sports science at Loughborough University on a talented athlete scholarship.
