Charles Andres House
Charles Andres House is a historic home on Middle Bass Island in Lake Erie, Ohio. It was built in 1866 by Charles Andres, a German immigrant and winemaker who moved to the island in 1854. Andres bought a 17-acre lot and used much of it for his vineyards. The two-story house combines Italianate and Greek Revival elements in a simple, local design common among Bass Islands winemakers, who often built impressive homes. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 6, 1995 (reference number 95001196).
