Capoeta pestai
Capoeta pestai, also known as the Eğirdir longsnout scraper or the Eğirdir barb, is a critically endangered freshwater fish from Turkey. It belongs to the Cyprinidae family. It used to be common around Lake Eğirdir in central Anatolia, but today it survives in only one inflowing river. The species disappeared from the lake because of overfishing, irrigation, habitat destruction, and the introduction of predatory non-native fish.
