Bruno Schulz (architect)
Bruno Schulz (1865–1932) was a German architectural historian and government architect. He was born in Friedeberg and started working in Berlin as a government architect in 1893. In 1897–98 he joined Friedrich Sarre on a research trip to Persia. After returning to Europe, he lived and worked in Venice in 1899–1900. From 1900 to 1904 he served as the technical director of the German archaeological excavation at Baalbek. He later taught the study of the shapes and styles of classical and Renaissance architecture at Technische Hochschule Hannover (now Leibniz University Hannover). In 1912 he became a professor of architecture at Technische Hochschule Berlin (now Technische Universität Berlin).
