Binpur is a small village in Binpur I community development block, Jhargram subdivision, Jhargram district, West Bengal, India. It is located at 22.5861°N, 86.9183°E.

As of the 2011 census, Binpur had a population of 1,842 (950 males and 892 females), with 190 children below the age of six. There were 1,402 literate people, giving a literacy rate of 76.1% for those over six years old. The PIN code is 721502 and the telephone area code is 03221. The official languages are Bengali, Santali and English.

Binpur is on State Highway 5, which passes through the village. The main government medical facility in the area is Binpur Rural Hospital, a 30-bed hospital in Binpur I block. Binpur police station has jurisdiction over part of Binpur II block. The village falls under the Jhargram Lok Sabha and Jhargram Vidhan Sabha constituencies.

Geography: The Jhargram subdivision is characterized by hills, forests and lateritic soil, with most people living in rural areas.
