Bigmouth skate (Amblyraja robertsi) is a bottom-dwelling fish from the skate family Rajidae. It lives in deep waters of the Southeast Atlantic, below 1,000 meters. It grows up to 77 cm long. It has a hard, roughly triangular snout and a smooth body with thorn-like spines around its eyes and on its tail. Its upper side is dark gray, and its underside has white spots. It has a large mouth, matching its name. Status: Least Concern.
