Bases y puntos de partida para la organización política de la República Argentina
Bases y puntos de partida para la organización política de la República Argentina is a book written by Juan Bautista Alberdi. He wrote it while in Chile, after opposing Juan Manuel de Rosas in Argentina. The work proposed ideas for a future constitution, including federalism and a national customs system instead of Buenos Aires having the sole control of international trade. When Rosas fell in 1852, Justo José de Urquiza moved to create the country’s government and a national constitution, and Alberdi shared his ideas with Urquiza, who welcomed them. The Bases had an immediate influence on the drafting of the Argentine Constitution of 1853 and on how the country would be organized.
