Back to the Hotel
Back to the Hotel is the debut studio album by American rap group N2Deep. It was released on June 23, 1992, by Profile Records. The album was recorded during 1991–1992 at K-Lou Studio in Richmond, California, and runs 55 minutes and 55 seconds. It is a West Coast hip hop record produced by N2Deep and Jonny Z. Guest appearances come from Vallejo artists B-Legit and E-40.
The singles from the album include "Back to the Hotel" (released in 1992), "Toss Up" (January 11, 1993), and "The Weekend" (1993). Music videos were released for "Back to the Hotel," "Toss Up," and "The Weekend."
Chart success was strong for an early release: the album peaked at No. 55 on the Billboard 200, No. 29 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and No. 1 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums chart. The title track "Back to the Hotel" reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 12 on the Billboard Rap Songs chart. The single "Toss-Up" peaked at No. 92 on the Hot 100 and No. 74 on the Rap Songs chart.
