The B-Line is a high-frequency bus service in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It runs between Mona Vale and Wynyard Station in the city, using double-decker Gemilang Coachworks bodied MAN A95 buses. The service began on 26 November 2017 as route B1 from Mona Vale to Wynyard Park and is operated by Keolis Downer Northern Beaches from the Mona Vale depot.

The route covers about 31 kilometres and stops at 10 B-Line sites: Mona Vale, Warriewood, Narrabeen, Collaroy, Dee Why, Brookvale, Manly Vale, Spit Junction, Neutral Bay, and Wynyard Park. It’s designed for speed and reliability, with peak services every 3–4 minutes, off-peak every 7–10 minutes, and around 30 minutes for overnight service. The end-to-end journey takes about 65 minutes, and in its first year the line carried about 5.9 million passengers.

B-Line buses feature onboard announcements, real-time stop displays, and USB charging for passengers. The stops have real-time information showing upcoming buses and other services, and some stops include commuter car parks. The B-Line uses a distinctive yellow and blue livery, and these buses are among the first NSW government double-deckers since 1986.

Wynyard Park is the southern terminus, with connections to trains at Wynyard Station. The Neutral Bay stop is on Military Road, Spit Junction has a new pedestrian plaza, and several stops (including Manly Vale, Warriewood, and Mona Vale) include dedicated commuter parking.

Ridership grew quickly, and a 24/7 version called BN1 began on 20 December 2020, extending overnight to the Queen Victoria Building. In 2021, the B-Line joined Keolis Downer Northern Beaches’ Region 8. Ongoing issues include driver shortages and bus wear, with plans announced in March 2025 to add 10 more buses to the fleet. Initially, 38 Gemilang MAN A95s were purchased; four more were added later, bringing the fleet to 42 double-deckers for the service.
