Auriculella pulchra
Auriculella pulchra is a small land snail that breathes air and lives only in Hawaii. It belongs to the family Achatinellidae. The shell grows to about 10 mm long and 6 mm wide. It is solid, oval, and coils to the right, with six whorls and a clear seam. The opening is somewhat ear-shaped, and the outer lip is thickened and bent backward. Inside, there are strong folds, and a small hole near the bottom. The shell color is white with a greenish band and brown edge; a yellowish form exists with a white lip and opening. This species is endemic to Hawaii and was first described by Pease in 1868. Its conservation status is Data Deficient (IUCN).
