Aural 6
Aural 6 is a six‑song EP by Counting Crows, released on November 27, 2008. It was a Best Buy exclusive sampler for Black Friday 2008, priced at $5.99, featuring tracks from several of the band’s previous albums. The cover is a collage of Counting Crows album art, including Across a Wire: Live in New York City, but none of the songs on Aural 6 come from that album.
The EP runs 25 minutes and 20 seconds and falls under the alternative rock genre. It was recorded between 1993 and 2007 in California, released by DGC, and produced by T-Bone Burnett, Brian Deck, Dennis Herring, Steve Lillywhite, David Lowery, and Gil Norton. In Counting Crows’ discography, Aural 6 sits after iTunes Live from SoHo (2008) and before August and Everything After: Live at Town Hall (2011).
