Aung Thu (footballer) is a Burmese professional soccer player who was born on May 22, 1996. He plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Uthai Thani in Thailand’s Thai League 1 and for the Myanmar national team. He has represented Myanmar at under-16, under-19, under-23, and senior levels, and he scored a World Cup qualifying goal for Myanmar.

Early life
Aung Thu was born in Pindale Village, Meiktila Township, in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar. He later moved to Pyinmana.

Club career
- Youth and early years: He began at the Mandalay-based Myanmar Football Academy.
- Yadanarbon (2013–2020): He joined Yadanarbon FC and developed into a standout player.
- Police Tero (loan, 2018): Spent time on loan in Thailand, earning recognition for his goals and assists.
- Muangthong United (loan, 2019): Another Thai loan spell.
- Buriram United (2020–2022): Signed with Buriram United in Thailand.
