Augusta Larned (April 16, 1835 – January 8, 1924) was an American writer, editor, and suffragist. She was born in Rutland, New York, to Zebedee and Sarah A. Etheridge Larned. She began writing in 1867 for The Independent. In 1870 she edited the women's rights newspaper The Revolution. She also wrote for The Christian Register for about 20 years. Larned lived for many years in Summit, New Jersey. In 1919 she published The Borderland of Country Life, describing how cars changed life in Summit and calling the town “Heaven’s Hill” in her book. She died on January 8, 1924, at the age of 88.
