Atlantic, Greenville and Western Railway
Atlantic, Greenville and Western Railway was a South Carolina railroad chartered in 1885 by the state legislature. In December 1885 it was renamed from the Greenville and Port Royal Railroad after its charter was amended. The Greenville and Port Royal Railroad had been chartered in 1882. In 1887, the Atlantic, Greenville and Western merged with the Carolina, Knoxville and Western Railway and the Pennsylvania and Haywood Railroad, and the combined line operated under the Carolina, Knoxville and Western Railway name.
