Arenopsaltria dryas
Arenopsaltria dryas is a cicada species in the true cicada family, Cicadidae. It is native to Australia and was described in 2025 by entomologists Maxwell Sydney Moulds and David Marshall. The name dryas comes from the dryads, mythological Greek wood-nymphs.

Size: Males have a forewing length of about 31.8–38.3 mm and a body length of 24.5–31.0 mm. Females have a forewing length of about 33.0–38.9 mm and a body length of 25.9–32.7 mm.
Distribution and habitat: This species is found in the arid Mid West region of Western Australia, specifically in the Murchison and Yalgoo bioregions. Adults perch on Acacia, Eucalyptus, and Grevillea trees and emit a coarse, whining buzzing call.
