Aradus
Aradus is a genus of flat bugs, part of the true bugs group (family Aradidae). They are found worldwide, especially in the Holarctic region, with about 200 species. Most Aradus feed on fungi that grow on dead wood. Some species are pyrophilous, meaning they live in burned areas after wildfires and eat fungi that grow on burnt wood. Examples include Aradus laeviusculus, which feeds on fungi on burned conifers, and Aradus gracilis, common on burned South Florida slash pine (Pinus elliottii var. densa).
