Apodachlya
Apodachlya is a genus of water molds in the order Leptomitales. It includes species such as Apodachlya brachynema, Apodachlya minima, Apodachlya punctata, and Apodachlya pyrifera. These organisms live in water and have hyphae that are divided by septa with cellulin plugs, which help prevent cytoplasm loss if a cell breaks. They reproduce mainly by asexual means in water, and their zoospores encyst at the tip, similar to the related genus Achlya.
