Antiguraleus taranakiensis
Antiguraleus taranakiensis is an extinct species of sea snail in the Mangeliidae family. It lived in what is now New Zealand during the Late Middle Miocene to Late Miocene (Waiauan–Kapitean) epochs. The shell was small, about 6 mm long and 4 mm wide. It was first described in 1926 by Marwick and has also been named Mangilia taranakiensis. In 2009, A.G. Beu suggested that related southern hemisphere species previously placed in Antiguraleus be moved to Probebela.
