Anna-Maja Henriksson
Anna-Maja Henriksson is a Swedish-speaking Finnish politician. She has been a long-serving member of the Finnish Parliament (2007–2024) and led the Swedish People’s Party of Finland from 2016 to 2024, becoming the first woman to lead the party. She is known as Finland’s longest-serving Minister of Justice, having held the role from 2011 to 2015 and again from 2019 to 2023. She also served as Minister of Education from June 2023 to July 2024 under Prime Minister Petteri Orpo. In July 2024, she became a Member of the European Parliament. Henriksson helped steer her party into a right-leaning coalition after the 2023 elections, and in February 2024 she announced she would not seek another term as party leader, with Anders Adlercreutz taking over in June 2024. Born in Jakobstad, Finland, she is married to Janne Henriksson since 1991 and has two children.
