Anabarilius macrolepis

Anabarilius macrolepis was a freshwater fish in the Xenocyprididae family (East Asian minnows) that lived only in Yilong Lake, Yunnan, China. The lake dried up in 1981 due to water being used for agriculture, and the species disappeared. It was not seen in 1983–84 and was officially declared extinct in 2011. The species was described in 1964 by P. L. Yih and C. K. Wu.
