Aleksei Aleksandrovich Balandin (Russian: Алексей Александрович Баландин, December 20, 1898 – May 22, 1967) was a Soviet chemist and a member of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union. He contributed to organic catalysis, developing the multiplet theory of catalysis. He wrote several books and many scientific papers. The lunar crater Balandin is named in his honor.
