Alasdair White (born 1983) is a Scottish folk musician from the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. His main instrument is the fiddle, but he also plays whistle, banjo, bouzouki, mandolin and pipes. He is a Gaelic speaker from Tong, a place where Gaelic culture shapes his music, and his fiddle style comes from West-Highland and North-West traditions.

He started making music at school with the band Face the West, who released Edge of Reason. In 2001, at age 18, he joined Battlefield Band as a fiddle player. He first appeared on their 2002 album Time and Tide and has played on all their studio albums since: Out for the Night (2004), The Road of Tears (2006), Dookin’ (2007), Zama Zama... Try Your Luck (2009), Line-up (2011), Room Enough For All (2013) and Beg & Borrow (2015).

In 2006 he released a solo album, An Clàr Geal (The White Album), featuring traditional Scottish tunes and his own work. It won Best Traditional World Album at the 7th Annual Independent Music Awards in 2008.

White has also performed with Face the West at the Hebridean Celtic Festival in 2009. He is currently touring the United States with the Scottish group Dàimh, standing in for their fiddler Gabe McVarish.
