al-Bayda (Arabic: البيضة; also spelled Beida), also known as al-Bayda al-Sharqiyah, is a small village in eastern Syria. It is part of the Homs Governorate and lies in the Syrian Desert on the road between Tadmur (Palmyra) in the east and Tiyas in the west. In the 2004 census, the Central Bureau of Statistics counted 670 residents. The village uses the Syria time zone: UTC+2 in standard time and UTC+3 in daylight saving time.
